For many years I have believed in the power of intention.

The first time I remember putting this practice into action was when I was 19 years old.

At that time I called it creative visualization. I remember wishing for a specific desired outcome and believing so strongly in it that something shifted within me.

I believed in the potential of this technique. I believed in my intention so strongly that in that moment - I had what I would consider a spiritual experience.

At that time, I don’t know if I would have recognized it as a spiritual experience - but I do recall it feeling almost like an out of body experience. That my faith and belief alone, shifted something deep inside of me and aligned or connected me to a higher power.

This, obviously, is the way I live my life now. It’s funny to look back and see how the power of intention has manifested miracles in my life.

I remember about 10 years ago (long before Calgary or Transformational Breath®️) setting the intention for my work:

I work with an amazing group of like minded professionals offering service.

I work with a leading global organization teaching and helping others to heal.

I am surrounded by good people, good music and dogs.

It’s amazing when you have these visions of what you desire, and thinking maybe there is no way it could actually fit together… and yet it all does, perfectly.

Not through forcing or controlling or making it happen, but by allowing it and flowing in the uncertainty and waiting for everything to align.

I reached out to Health Upwardly Mobile (HUM) last March, on the recommendation of a colleague. HUM is an amazing organization focusing on addiction support, chronic pain, and mental wellness. that was interested in energy work and breathwork.

To my delight, they replied to my email and invited me to meet with them.

They were accepting of me.

I could not have planned this. This was divine guidance.

God literally placed me here - in this amazing space with this team of amazing people who are spectacular in their individual fields offering service as Physicians, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Psychologists and Naturopathic Medicine.

Being able to be in this space and offer energy work, breathwork, meditation, yoga and now Ayurveda is honestly a dream come true.

I went into work last week and there was a new puppy there named Zeus.

Zeus is a little three month old Shih Tzu. He is part of the HUM team. This little dog joins Milly, our sassy little Yorkie, as our second Therapy Dog at HUM.

Their only job is to love and be loved by staff and patients. What an amazing job!

That’s kind of my job too.

That’s what I aspire for anyway….

Love unconditionally.

Serve unconditionally.

Remember unconditionally.

So as I write this letter in my amazing office with the puppies (and a mountain view ⛰ ) at HUM, and I make my awesome playlist for tonight’s online Transformational Breath®️ group - life is pretty great.

There you have it.

Reflexology

Oh your poor little feet.

They are so often neglected.

They deserve a treat.

Traditional Reflexology concentrates on 28 specific points on your feet that represent the organ systems in your body. Applying firm pressure to these specific points on the feet sends a message to your brain to pay extra attention to your internal organ function. Your body moves into a healing response, your feet feel massaged and relaxed, your body internally responds to the feel good action and you feel lighter and more mobile.

With relaxation and proper alignment of the structure of the muscles of the feet, your feet hit the ground evenly, your ankles, knees, hips and spine feel less compressed and you simply feel better.

This in office or at home (yes I do house calls 😊 ) treatment incorporates warm steam, luxurious moisture and a special blend of herbal oils, will leave you relaxed and feeling grounded in your body.

This treatment is offered at 1 hour for $80 (plus GST)

Feeling arthritic, tired or stiff hands hands??

Guess what? Reflexology can also be done on your hands!

☎️ Contact me to arrange your appointment. This can be done at my office (lovely) or in your home (also lovely).

Something Special:

Meet: Alyssa Johnson

Hi, I’m Alyssa the founder of Better Basics Milling Co. I am passionate about getting back to basics. My small town roots have taught me the importance of supporting local, that fresh is best, and the value of a short food chain.
That’s why I made it my mission to provide my community and beyond with organic, traditionally stone milled flour with no additives, preservatives, or “made-in-lab” vitamins. A better version of your basic pantry essentials.

I’ve struggled with food-related health issues for years.
When the conventional treatment for food sensitivities failed me, I turned to elimination diets. Yet, restricting my diet didn’t fully relieve my inflammation, fatigue, and bloating either. No one, not even my Doctors, could tell me what was making me sick.

Every day, I felt terrible. What’s worse, I was putting so much pressure on myself as a mom to do better for my family. I always did my best to cook healthy and whole meals, but I doubted myself because everyone in the food and health industry had something different to say about which foods were good and bad. Sound familiar? It all started when my neighbour gifted me a loaf of homemade bread made of the organic flour that she had milled herself. She told me how stone-milled flour is much healthier and cleaner than conventional flour. I usually avoided gluten, but I thought, what the heck, I’ve tried everything else under the sun. So I went for it, I took a bite and…nothing. No reaction. Nada. But why? I was the master of elimination diets, spending years working through digestive distress. I took a long hard look at the foods I was eating and when I did, I realized that maybe it wasn’t the food but the chemicals and the processing of the foods that made me feel so ill. I started milling my own clean and organic stone milled flour and it changed the way I looked at food forever. My diet now consists of whole foods with everything in moderation. Flour phobia no more! It feels empowering to have complete confidence and trust in the food I feed my family. I want my traditionally made flour to inspire other families to cook and bake food they’re proud to put on their table.

This playlist is all over the place. 😂. Enjoy this rollercoaster.

… Wishing you Bliss
